| Lakefront bike ride at twilight = one of my more amazing life experiences. The sail-dotted horizon against a water color rose-violet sky was just picture-postcard-perfect (for a coastal city, even). And then there were the sleek skyscrapers reflecting the waves... just wow.
24 miles round trip to register for a 25 mile ride. Old clanky did pretty well, for a squeaky vintage schwinn. I think I'll take up tourist biking. Possibly overseas?
In any case, it was breathtaking. |

| Update:
everyone is in college and i'm bored. so back to xanga for a moment.
as for summer goals...
old crew: blues fest, bbq(s), july 3rd, and movies. among other things.
concerts: blues fest. street music. summerdance. israeli gypsy punk and
electronica. learned to salsa. (one lifelong goal completed.)
sox fandom: a few trivia tutorials, and one awesome game.
car education: aside from movies, none to date.
red&khaki: quit in favor of a two-week latvianfest. i still hate red & khaki.
cleaning/decorating: room is painted, now practicing my carpentry
skills on IKEA dressers. we'd better have some awesome houseguests next
year to appreciate my work.
endorphins: yes. among other things.
reading: not much.
movies: fast&furious tokyo drift, miami vice, pirates 2, snakes on a plane (yes, we have very sophisticated tastes)
adventure: one week in MI + one week in rural NY = two weeks of latvians. it was 'still-laughing-in-disbelief' wild.
but i still have three weeks until move-in. trip down to U of I for labor day, perhaps?
i am experienced a mild form of cerebral atrophy, but it's ok.

| Summer plans:
chill w/ the old crew (started)
go to lots of free concerts (started)
become a diehard white sox fan (started)
learn something about cars
learn to love red & khaki
clean/decorate my living space
get high on endorphins (started)
read something
see some movies (started)
have an adventure
It's all doable, I think. And maybe towards the end of the summer, make the mac transition? We'll see.

| UChicago. It's decided.
I'm all for academic suicide these days.
Haha APs.... and here's to working retail this summer and spending
every free moment in the SUN and running/biking/chilling on the BEACH.
Because that's what summer's all about.
Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. (maybe for the next few weeks?)
I am directing the best one-act with the BEST CAST EVER. April 27, 28, and 29 at 7pm.
Be there.
